The Annual Food Bloggers' Dinner is Here!

My first time meeting up with food bloggers was for the Christmas Flog Exchange in Jan 2007. We had fun and it was good to put a face to the blogs I have been reading. Back then none of us used a DSLR. A trusty point-and-shoot was almost de rigueur. ;P

Later that same year, the Annual Food Bloggers' Dinner happened at the now-defunct Le Papillion.

Then in 2008 there was the Foodies/Bloggers' Lunch at Braise by dear Hinata who has since hung up her pen/keyboard.

And more recently, the Food Bloggers' Lunch at Gunther's last year saw the biggest turnout yet. Interesting to note that most toted a DSLR. Big guns were blazing as most rested their weapons on the table.

Anyway I said all that to tell you that this year, the Annual Food Bloggers' Dinner is in a couple of weeks! Recent Runes has kindly arranged a deal with the restaurant for us.

Crabmeat Cake with Avocado top with Mesclun Salad, Beetroot Paint & Balsamic Reduction

Pasta
Short Tube Pasta with chunks of Tuna in Homemade Tomato Sauce with Capers, Olives, Chili, Garlic, Basil, White Wine & rich Fish Broth

Main Course
Breaded Veal Scallopine pan fried in Butter glace with Veal Jus, Cherry Tomato Salsa & Lemon Wedge

OR

Sea bream blanket with crispy Brick Phyllo on Butternut Pumpkin Puree top with Tomato Salsa

Dessert
Pistachio Financier with Strawberry Salsa & Mint
